HOTEL ROOM BLOCK UPDATE: Hotel reservations cutoff is Friday, March 15, 2019. After that date, preferred rates we have secured for HVIS will still be honored until the hotels sell out. As many of you have discovered already, the Hilton Sandestin has sold out. Unfortunately, we will not be able to get any additional rooms at the Hilton. Please consider one of the other options we have secured at the Sandestin Resort. All rooms are $162/night. Among these, The Luau is probably the best option, it is right next to the Hilton. These rooms are very nice studio efficiencies, most with unobstructed views of the ocean. The other option is the Grand Complex, it is on the bayside of the resort. These rooms are also studio efficiencies. There is a complimentary shuttle that runs every 30 minutes that will take you from the Grand Complex to the Hilton. As of March 14, only 30 rooms remain available at the Luau and 15 at the Grand Complex. So reserve your room soon!

Hotel Accommodation

The 2019 Symposium will be held at the award-winning Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa, located in the Destin-Miramar Beach area on the Gulf of Mexico. It is a beachfront resort hotel with three pools and two whirlpools. Access is provided to four championship golf courses. The hotel sits on the beachfront of the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, a resort community with over 1300 accommodations, golf courses, tennis facilities, pools, marinas, shopping and dining.

The hotel reservation sites are now open! We have secured a block rooms at heavily discounted rates at the Hilton Sandestin and at adjacent properties on the Sandestin Resort. A block of rooms will be offered at the Hilton on the beachfront for US Government attendees at the per diem rate of $162/night. Room rates for non-Government start at $219/night. These rates are valid April 14-19, 2019. A credit card is required to reserve the room, but the deposit of one night’s stay will not be charged to your credit card until January 31, 2019. We kindly request that you do not reserve a US Government rate room unless you must have the US Government rate to attend the conference, and are almost certain that you will attend.

If you intend to arrive early or stay after the conference, the Hilton will extend your stay at the conference rate for up to two days before and two days after the April 14-19 block. You must call the Hilton Sandestin directly at 1-800-559-1805 to secure the extension at the conference rate, you cannot do it through the Hilton website.

We have also secured a block in adjacent properties on the Sandestin Resort. Rooms in the adjacent properties will be offered at the same rate of $162/night for US Government AND non-Government attendees. These rates are valid April 11-22, 2019. A credit card is required to reserve the room, but the deposit of one night’s stay will not be charged to your credit card until January 31, 2019. The closest to the Hilton is the Luau https://www.sandestin.com/beachside. These units are a few minutes walk to the Hilton and to the beachfront. Another block of units is available at the Grand Complex https://www.sandestin.com/village. These units are on the Bayside of the resort. A complimentary shuttle is available to take you from the Grand Complex to the Hilton. Units in both the Luau and the Grand Complex are studio condominiums with a kitchenette.
